Salary Increase from P14,834 to P29,668 effective 01 January 2018



Being a soldier or a policeman is a difficult profession. They risk their lives every mission they perform. The lives of our soldiers and policemen are priceless and no amount of money can equal its value. They work for 24/7 and away from their families which is really a difficult thing to sacrifice.

The increase on the base salary of soldiers and policemen produced hope for our soldiers especially those fighting in Marawi City. The support of our president to soldier and policemen increases the moral of the country defenders.

Base on the documents we gathered, full double salary increase will be effective on 01 January 2018. This is to fulfill the PRRD promise to increase the salary of our soldiers and policemen. This increase will cost the government additional P64.4 billion the department of Budget and Management said.

“The increase in the compensation of the military and uniformed personnel (MUP) will be funded from the Miscellaneous Personnel Benefits Fund (MPBF) and from any available allotment in the respective budgets of the agencies concerned”  said by Diokno

DBM also made a resolution concurred with the Office of the President on September 20, 2017 the department said.

The resolution authorized adjustment on compensation for soldiers and policemen. After the resolution is approved by Congress, the base pay will be doubled.

PO1 will double the base pay from P14,834 to P29,668 a month.
