Highlights from game 1 PBA Governors Cup Finals

A dunk of Japeth Aguilar started the game for Brgy Ginerbra to energized the crowd at Lucena City.  With the great shooting from both team, Chris Newsome was able to get the Bolts first lead by monsterous dunk between Joe Devance and Justin Brownlee on 7:10 mins of the game. Just 24 secs remaining from the 1st Quarter, Justin Brownlee steal the ball from Durham and dunk the ball with Chris Newsome trailing and fouling Justin Brownlee . After the first quarter, Japeth Aguilar has 9 points in 7 mins of play.

In 8:12 mins of 2nd Quarter, Brgy Ginebra was able to get their largest lead of 17 points from a lay up of Justin Brownlee. However the Bolts cut the lead to 12 points in the 3:40 mins 45-33. At the end of 2nd Quarter, Brgy Ginebra was able to lead by 14 points 49-35.

In the start of 3rd Quarter, Bolts was able to cut the lead to 10 by their fastbreak making the score 49-39. In 7:38 minutes of 3rd Quarter, Brgy Ginebra was able to bring their lead to 16 points 61-45
In 3:48 mins of 3rd Quarter, meralco cut the lead to 8 from their penetration but Greg Slauther was able bring it back to 10 from offensive rebound against 3 Meralco Bolts player. Durham was able to cut the lead to 6 from a alley hoop from Lanete 69-63 the closest the Meralco Bolts from taking the lead in the first quarter. Just 4 secs left at the end of the 3rd Quarter, Tolomia was able to hit a 3 pointer with a foul from Mercado. Mercado was able to redeem his self for passing the ball to Greg Slaugther and dunk the ball at the end of the 3rd Quarter ending the 3rd in score of 77-71 .

4th quarter, Ginebra was able bring back their lead to 13 points from a jumpshot of Justin Brownlee making the score 85-72. Ferer was able to add and  make their lead to 16 points in 6:43 minutes of the 4th Quarter

Brgy Ginebra was able to control the basket becuase of their height controling almost the 4th Quarter and never look back taking the 1st game of Governors Cup Finals in Lucena City in the score of 102-87.
